This long weekend consisted of a lot of outdoors. Kicking it off with some patio time on Friday then some hiking on the Saturday afternoon. Luckily we had some phenomenal weather to finally get outside and do this hike.
Over the past couple of months I have been amping up my activity level. As a recent grad I was caught in the typical desk mode. This easily transitioned into 8 to 10 hours of sitting at my computer editing, emailing, invoicing, and all of the stuff in-between. A dangerous cycle; I knew it needed to change. I hate to admit it but I sort of forgot what it was like to be active. Knowing all the benefits of exercise I for some reason just disregarded them.
I feel inspired to write about this new journey of kicking my activity levels into high gear. Amping up to run my first half marathon this October. Yep, I have publicly committed to this half marathon. Over the next couple of weeks I will be posting some of my experiences as a newbie runner; how I have been setting my pace and getting outside doing things.
In the meantime, here are some pictures of my friends and I during the hike this weekend.
